Online Lessons
Australian Junior Chess Academy provides online classes for school programs, private students and small groups.
Approximately half of Australian Junior Chess Academy lessons are delivered online. We have become very experienced in this medium!
We understand that chess is a tactile game, especially for younger and more beginner students.
AJCA teachers include activities that use a physical chess board to help make sure none of the magic is lost!
AJCA teachers use Zoom video, ChessBase screenshare, and lichess.org interactive study boards to give engaging chess lessons over the internet.
Online lessons can be a practical choice to save travel time (especially for regional and interstate students!) and to avoid unnecessary risks during health crises. Some students also feel more comfortable learning from home.
